A flight of steps leads from the deep, furnished porch of the traditional brown-shingled cottage to a 42-foot long stone-walled waterfront with a shallow, hard bottom, ideal for swimming.
Hiawatha has been lovingly maintained and recently renovated as a traditional three-season cottage charmingly decorated with comfortable camp furnishings. Vintage accessories and original art distinguish this pleasant, versatile living space. The bright, lake-view living room has freshly whitewashed cedar shingle walls and high, exposed-beam ceilings. New and antique classic cottage furniture, upholstered and painted in subtle leaf-greens and aquas, includes a queen sleeper-sofa, love seat, comfortable reading chairs and cushioned wicker. Neutral, textural carpeting warms the room. The original riverstone mantel is fitted with an ivory enameled gas fireplace, extending the vacation season into spring and fall. A dining table sits beneath a wide lakefront window; a folding games table & chairs can be set up for playing one of the classic board games. An entertainment armoire contains standard-service satellite TV with VCR and DVD, a stereo and a selection of CDs and videos. Wireless internet service is provided for your laptop.
