Sleep in three beautiful bedrooms with brand new mattresses, pillows and Pine Cone Hill linens. Fully equipped eat in kitchen with all amenities for a feast or a relaxing day of baking. Grill your catch on our brand new Weber grill. Watch movies or the game or catch up on your favorite show on our brand new 42″ Samsung Smart TV.

Hiking, mountain biking and ATV trails, trout-fishing streams, state hunting land, and gorgeous views from a mountaintop fire tower are all nearby. The county has seven golf courses and 44 lakes to enjoy, ranging from small hidden lakes on hiking trails to the 26 mile long Great Sacandaga.

The village of Caroga Lake has restaurants, taverns, post office, laundromat, general store, coffee shop, gas, ATM, video rentals, and a chapel. All the amenities of a friendly, small city are 15 minutes away in the historic sister-cities of Gloversville and Johnstown.

Centrally located in the accessible southern Adirondacks, just 30 minutes north of the NY State Thruway, “Sweetheart” is a great location for easy daytrip excursions to Saratoga (Performing Arts Center, Thoroughbred Racing, and much more), Lake George, Great Sacandaga Lake, Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame, Farmer’s Museum, Fenimore Museum, Howe Caverns), the Albany capital region, and much of the six million acre Adirondack Park, including Blue Mountain Lake and Tupper Lake, homes of renowned Adirondack regional museums.

It’s about an hour to Saratoga, Cooperstown, and Albany; about four hours to New York, Boston, Buffalo, and Montreal.

Please note that we do not provide linens. There is one King bed, one Queen and two Full beds. If you do not have linens or cannot bring them with you on the journey please let us know, you may rent them for a fee. We do provide blankets, pillows and bedspreads- you would need to bring sheets and towels.

Our happy guests

Very cozy and spacious home. The fireplace was a real treat after a long day of cross country skiing to warm up and reminisce about the beauties of the day. The radio in the living room has such a good sound system that its just so pleasantly relaxing listening to some tunes. I also loved the internal design with multiple paintings hung around to give a more magical feel of the house. What was most convenient was that the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils so you don’t have to worry about bringing anything of your own if you’re traveling from far. Another pleasant surprise was that the road which the house is on wasn’t too busy or noisy and we weren’t at any point disturbed by any outdoor noise. Definitely a great option for a getaway with a large family and there so much to do in the area as well. Aimee contacted us to make sure I checked into the house okay and followed up to make sure I didn’t have any questions or concerns during my stay which was extremely caring and hospitable. It made me feel so much more comfortable to know I can reach out at any moment without feeling like a bother. Staying at Noni’s Joy really upgraded our Ski Trip and we look forward to booking next year.

Noni’s Joy is a delightful older home ideal for families or friends. Plenty of room, comfy beds, fun touches – dance floor and mirror ball for one, great artwork and beautiful yard. It was like visiting a family home. Aimee was great to work with, going out of her way to help us enjoy our time in NY. Definitely a place we would book again. Rural yet close to stores and restaurants. A great “home away from home” selection.
